A former Ocean Ski Racing world champion, multiple New Zealand surf lifesaving champion and one of the star performers in the Nutri-Grain IronWoman Series in Australia, Danielle has long been one of the country’s most pre-eminent paddlers.
Danielle challenged herself at many different sports growing up as a kid on Auckland’s North Shore (NZ). Her international career started off when she competed for NZ in the U19 Age group Triathlon World Championships in Budapest 2010 placing 2nd & China 2011 2nd.
Danielle has represented NZ numerous times both as a youth and a senior in surf lifesaving with the major World Champs competitions in 2012 Adelaide(youth), 2014 France (opens), 2016 Netherlands, 2018 Adelaide and 2022 Itlay. She is part of the Blackfins team who have created history becoming the first NZ team to win back to back World Titles (2014, 2016). At the most recent 2023 NZ National titles Danielle Won 5 National titles.
Danielle has been a part of the iconic Australian Nutri-Grain Ironwoman series since 2014. She is one of the few kiwis to gain access to this elite series. Her best result a 2nd placing overall in the 2021 - 2022 and 3rd overall in the 2022-2023 series. Further accomplishing a long-time goal of a podium place in the Coolangata Gold. 3rd in 2017, 2nd 2018 & 2nd 2021 while creating history by becoming the first female New Zealander to ever podium.
In April 2023 Danielle decided to take up kayaking. Following her 4th place in the K1500m at the NZ kayaking champs she was given the opportunity to train with the NZ womens kayak squad based in Auckland. After a month of training with the squad Danielle was selected alongside Aimee Fisher to represent NZ in the K2 500m at the 2023 World Champship in August held in Duisburg. Although they just missed the Olympic qualifying standard (top 6) they placed 8th in a tight A final.
